SCHOOL PROBLEMS AND ADHD
Children who suffer from ADHD need to be kept in a different environment where they find things of their interest. But something that gets these students more distracted is the classroom arrangement. The students are made to study things that are beyond their understanding and very boring. They are strictly instructed not to move from their seats, instead sit still and complete their work.
This loss of freedom and unwanted tasks donates a lot to the children being more irritated and frustrated.
Frustration leads these ADHD students into a situation where they end up hitting the walls and exam time sees them way behind their syllabus. They are left with very little time and energy to cope up with the lessons.
The realization usually comes in the third grade of an academic session where the lessons are on an increasing number and so are the home works. This leaves the student with very little option than hitting the academic wall.
There are also cases where the disorder has been noticed in the in the seventh grade. It happens when the child leaves the Elementary School for Junior High School. Some of these ADHD students cope up well with the Elementary School. But the moment they enter Junior High School, they seem to return back to square one.
Most of the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) child needs a lot of support, especially in educational matters but there are many exceptional cases where this is not needed.
