    Definitions of Treatment Services
Women- Substance abuse among women is different than in men, and most often has multiple contributing factors, such as poverty, psychosocial, mental health, history of abuse and trauma, and involvement in abusive relationships. Because of these numerous factors that need to be addressed to help a woman become drug free, substance abuse centers specifically for women are becoming more prevalent, and existing substance abuse centers are changing their treatment approaches to better help women get rid of their addictions.

it was a small, personal group living setting (not more than 6) at the retreat, but you are mixed with rough types, court ordered, others brought in by interventions, and the few who came on their own to get help. the property is old, no equine therapy (horses kick you and run from you, lamas spit on you, and the goat tries to buck you with his horns). When i stayed there was a mice infestation, dead rat in the pool, and mouse droppings all over the bathrooms and kitchen (they were slowly taking care of it) we ate lunches at hometown buffet (disgusting) and Chili's. Food was not gourmet and everything is done on a cheap budget (your paying over $1200 per day). Never received nutritional counseling, the gym is off site at a local LA Fitness (that you are dropped off at and picked up 1 hour later) The hot tub never worked, and the pool was freezing cold and you couldn't swim comfortably in it. when i checked in my room was dirty, previous soap with hair on it was left in my shower along with mouse droppings on the floor, and soap scum in the shower. the vehicles used to transport you to the facility are dirty, old, beat up suv's and the staff text/talk on the phone while driving you (safety hazard) never attended a 12 step meeting while i was there.. IMPORTANT* advertised to treat many addictions but focuses on drug/alcohol rather than addiction to gambling, sex, over eating, and PTSD. Therapies are thorough, DR's are knowledgeable, but all in all not worth the money they charge to get you there by showing you a limo, private service, and only one photo of a room that is the private room.. Do you research before paying and going..there are a lot facilities that are in the biz to get your money, enough said.
